Clear the Needs you list

Needs you, at the bottom of the sidebar, lists what only you can fix, each with one button for what to do next.

Needs you is the amber list at the bottom of the sidebar. It shows only when something is in the way that CitedSEO can't fix on its own: a connection that signed it out, articles that didn't reach your site, or an article that stopped at its checks. Each item says what's wrong, what still works, and has one button for what to do next. Once the problem is fixed, the item goes.

The list is worked out fresh from how things stand each time you look, so there's nothing to tick off or dismiss. Your billing has its own bar across the top of the app instead.

What can show up, and how to clear it

What it saysWhat happenedButtonIt goes once
"WordPress signed me out"WordPress stopped accepting CitedSEO's application password. Articles still go live on your feed.ReconnectWordPress is connected again in Settings › Publishing.
"Google signed me out"Google stopped letting CitedSEO read Search Console. Search Console numbers pause until you reconnect.ReconnectGoogle is connected again in Settings › Search & analytics.
"Plausible turned my key away"Plausible stopped accepting your Stats API key. Visits from AI pause until you reconnect.ReconnectPlausible is connected again in Settings › Search & analytics.
"Slack signed me out"Slack stopped taking CitedSEO's messages. Your cards still come by email.ReconnectSlack is connected again in Settings › Notifications.
"Your webhook at … needs adding again"CitedSEO can no longer sign what it sends to that endpoint, so it has stopped sending. Articles still go live on your feed.Add it againThe endpoint is added again in Settings › Webhooks, with its new signing secret in your code.
"“…” didn’t reach WordPress", or "3 articles didn’t reach …"Articles went live on your feed, but WordPress or a webhook endpoint didn't take them.Try againYou press Try again. CitedSEO sends them again shortly, and the item comes back if they fail again.
"“…” stopped at its checks"A new version of an article didn't pass its checks. Nothing went live.Open itA newer version of the article passes its checks.

Telegram isn't on the list: it's your own chat, so Settings › Notifications shows when it needs reconnecting.

Try again

Try again is for articles that didn't reach a destination that is still connected. Wait until WordPress or your endpoint is answering again, then press it. The item leaves the list at once and CitedSEO says "I’ll send them again shortly". Your articles stay live on your feed meanwhile.

Reconnecting WordPress does the same: anything it missed is sent again.

You're also told once

Each problem is also sent to you once as an alert, by email and in Slack or Telegram if you've turned them on, with what's wrong, what still works and what to do. It links to the place in CitedSEO where it's fixed. If the same thing happens again later, you're told again.

Settings › Notifications › Tell me when, with Something needs fixing switched on

The alert is Something needs fixing in Settings › Notifications, on for every new person. Turning it off stops the alert only; Needs you still shows the problem in the sidebar.
