Sign in with Google, or with a six-digit code CitedSEO emails you. There's no password to set or forget. Your name, photo and email are in Settings › Profile, with the ways you sign in and every device you're signed in on.

Sign in with a code

  1. On the sign-in page, enter your email and press Send code.
  2. Look for an email titled "… is your CitedSEO code".
  3. Type the six digits on the page.

The code works for 5 minutes. Resend sends a new one after a minute, and Use a different email goes back a step. If no code arrives, see I'm not getting emails from CitedSEO.

Sign in with Google

On the sign-in page, press Continue with Google and choose your Google account.

In Profile, under Signing in, Connect links Google to your account, and Unlink takes it off. Google can only be linked when it has the same email as your account. The emailed code always works, so you can still sign in after unlinking Google.

Profile's Signing in: the email code, always on, and Google with Connect

Change your name or photo

Your name is optional. Without one, the sidebar shows the start of your email, and Team shows your email. Type it in Name, then press Save changes.

Upload photo takes a JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 2 MB. If you signed in with Google and haven't uploaded one, your Google picture is used.

Your name isn't the byline on articles: who articles are by is set in Authors.

Change your email

  1. In Profile, press Change beside your email.
  2. Enter the new address and press Send code.
  3. Type the code CitedSEO sends to the new address, then press Change email.

Change your email: the new address, then Send code

Your email changes only once the code is right, and you sign in with the new address from then on. Codes and everything CitedSEO sends go there too. Your old address gets an email saying the email changed. An address another account already uses can't be taken.

Where you're signed in

Where you’re signed in lists each browser and device you're signed in on, this one first, with when each was last used. Sign out ends one, and Sign out everywhere else ends all but this one.

To sign out here, press your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Sign out.
