Article versions and what changed
Every change to an article makes a new version and keeps the old one. The Versions card on the article's page lists what went live, and undoes one change at a time.

CitedSEO never edits an article in place. Each change, whether it's a fix from a check, an update from a card you approved or something you asked for, is made on top of the latest version as a new version, and every earlier version is kept as it was. The Versions card on the article's page lists each version that went live, newest first, and lets you undo any one change while keeping the ones after it.

What the Versions card lists
The card is in the side panel of the article's page, once something on the article has gone live. Each entry is one version that went live, with the day it did:
A change goes live with the fixes and images that finished it, so they're part of the same entry rather than entries of their own.
What the page shows
The article's page always shows its latest version. If CitedSEO has made a change that isn't live yet, the page shows the new version while your site keeps the one that's live, until the new one is published. The label at the top stays Published meanwhile. On a published article, the checks card is called Checks on this version, and it shows what the latest check found.
Undo one change
- Open the ⋮ menu beside the entry and pick Undo this change, or Take down for Written and published.
- CitedSEO asks once, since it changes your live site. Keep it changes nothing; Undo it (or Take down) goes ahead.
Undoing a change takes only that change back out: every change made after it stays. If a later change touched the same part of the article, CitedSEO can't take the older one out on its own, so nothing changes and it tells you why.
An undone entry is crossed out and its date is followed by "undone". Undoing a change makes a new version of its own, so once it's live it shows as a new Page updated entry above. Undo something that went live says when an undo goes live and what taking an article down does.
If the article changed while you had it open
Publish, Ask for changes and undo each name the version you were looking at. If a newer one was made since you opened the page, CitedSEO doesn't act on the old one and says so, for example "There’s a newer version (version 4). Read it before you ask for a change." Reload the page, read the new version, then try again.
