Delete your account and data

In Settings › Profile, under Delete account, press Delete, then Delete account to confirm. You're signed out and removed from every site, and what CitedSEO kept about you is deleted. It can't be undone. Articles already on your sites stay there.

Before you delete

• Sign in again if it's been a while. Deleting needs a sign-in in the last day. If yours is older, the dialog says "For your safety, sign out and back in first".
• If you're the only owner, CitedSEO won't delete your account while it still has sites or a plan, so they're never left without an owner. Remove each site from its Settings › Site details (Remove this site), and cancel your plan in Settings › Billing. Once the plan has ended, you can delete your account, and your company's account goes with it.

Admins and members can delete their own account at any time; the account and its sites carry on for everyone else.

What's deleted

• Your sign-in, name, email and photo.
• Your notification settings, the messages CitedSEO sent you, and their links to approve or skip.
• What CitedSEO's support chat knew about you.
• If you were the only owner, your company's account.

You get one last email, "Your CitedSEO account is deleted". The privacy policy says your data is deleted within 30 days of deleting your account.

What stays

• Articles already published on your sites. They're yours.
• What you approved or asked for stays in each site's history, as the record of what was done, for anyone still on the account.

Leaving one account, or one site

To leave a team without deleting your account, ask an owner or admin to remove you in Settings › Team. To stop one site but keep your account, pause or remove that site instead. See What you pay per site.
