Your first week, and when numbers show

What CitedSEO does in your site's first days, and how long each number takes to mean something.

In your first week, CitedSEO reads your site, lines up its first opportunities, writes its first article and starts one piece of work each day after that. Your Google numbers show within about an hour of connecting Search Console, but what a change does takes longer: CitedSEO follows each one as Google reads it again and measures it four weeks after it goes live.

Day one

  • Reading your site. What you check while adding your site takes under a minute. Your competitors follow, then the first AI check, which asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI about you and takes a few minutes. Your first opportunities come once your pages are read and searches researched.
  • Your first article. Once your first opportunities are in and your trial has started, CitedSEO writes an article for the best search you don't have a page for, without waiting for an OK, so it's there to read on your first day. It still waits for your OK before it goes live, unless New articles is on in Autopilot.

Until they're all done, First milestones at the top of Home ticks off each step: Read your site, Found your first opportunities, Search Console connected, First article live, Indexed by Google, First click from Google and First time cited by AI.

Each day after

CitedSEO looks for new opportunities and prepares the best ones. One scheduled card's work starts each day after your site's Publish time, and goes live at the next daily slot. On Approve first, only the cards you approved start.

Each week

  • Every Monday morning you get a report of the week before: what CitedSEO did and what it did for your site. You can switch it to monthly, or off, in Settings › Notifications.
  • The AI assistants are asked your tracked questions again once a week.

When numbers show

  • Search Console: once you connect it, CitedSEO reads your last 16 months, usually within the hour. Google's numbers run about two days behind, so the newest days are still coming in.
  • Home's clicks chart says "More to come as Google gets to know your site" until it has 100 clicks over its 90 days. It shows your numbers either way.
  • The Google page adds Pages moving up once Google sends you 20 clicks in the dates you're looking at, and the click rate for your position once you show up for 30 searches with clicks.
  • Each change that went live shows the step it has reached, such as Live, Recrawled, Moving and Measured for a change aimed at clicks, with what has moved so far.

A change on Home that went live: it has reached Moving, with how far it has climbed and when it's measured

A new article goes Live, then Indexed, Showing up and Getting clicks. A change that hasn't gained anything reads "No change yet".
