Cover and in-article images
CitedSEO makes each article's cover and its images in the style you set in Settings › Brand. An image it can't make is left out, and the article goes on without it.

CitedSEO makes a cover for each new article, and an image for each place the article's outline gives one, after the article has passed its checks. Every image is made in the Image style from Settings › Brand, with your two colours, and never has words, logos or watermarks in it. Each image gets two tries; one that still can't be made is skipped, and the article goes on without it.
The cover
The cover sits at the top of the article and is the picture shown when someone shares the article. CitedSEO picks one scene of the article's subject for it and writes its alt text. It's wide (16:9). On WordPress it's the post's featured image.
Images in the article
How many images an article has is set from the pages that rank for its search, like its length and sections. The plan for the article places each one where a picture helps and says what it shows, and that same sentence is the image's alt text, so the alt text says what the image is. Images in the article are a little taller than the cover (3:2).
CitedSEO never makes screenshots, charts, graphs, logos or infographics, since an image model can't make those truthfully. Numbers and comparisons go in the article's words and tables instead.
Your image style
Set it in Settings › Brand, under Look, then press Save changes.

Main colour and Second colour go into every image too. In a photo they show only where they fit the scene, never as a tint; the other styles are built on them.
A new style is used for images made from then on. Images already made stay as they are.
Turn images off
In Settings › Articles, under Images, switch off Cover image or Images in the article, then press Save changes. With both off, CitedSEO makes no images at all.

When an image can't be made
If an image still fails after its second try, CitedSEO skips it. The article isn't held up: it goes on to your OK, or its slot, as usual. On the article's page, the place it would go shows "No image", and that place is left out of what goes live on your site.
To have it made, press Ask for changes on the article and name the image ("Make the second image again, a desk with a laptop and a coffee"). The same works for changing or taking out any image in the article; the cover isn't one you can change this way. See Ask for a change in your own words.
