Use CitedSEO from an AI app
Add CitedSEO's MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI app, sign in, and ask about your sites or approve changes from the chat.

CitedSEO has an MCP server, so an AI app such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can work with your sites from a chat. Add the server address, https://citedseo.ai/mcp, to the app, and sign in to CitedSEO when the app asks. You can then ask what's waiting for your OK, what went live and how it's doing, or whether AI assistants cite you, and, if you allow it, approve, skip, publish and undo changes.

Add it to your app
- In CitedSEO, open Settings › MCP and copy the address under Server.
- Add it to your AI app as a connector or MCP server. Setup guides has the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Other apps, on developer.citedseo.ai.
- Ask about one of your sites. The first time you use a tool about your own sites, the app asks you to sign in to CitedSEO.
Without signing in, the app can use CitedSEO's free SEO tools, the same ones as on citedseo.ai/tools. They only read, and change nothing on your site or in CitedSEO.
Sign in and allow it
Signing in is the same as signing in to the app. CitedSEO then shows which app is asking and what it wants to do, such as:
- "See your sites’ numbers, queue and articles"
- "Approve, skip, publish and undo changes for you"
Press Allow with the app's name to let it, or Cancel. Either way, you go back to the app.

It sees only the sites you can see in CitedSEO, and acts as you.
What it can read
Signed in, the app can read what CitedSEO found, did and plans for each of your sites, in the same words as the app, and links back to the place in CitedSEO to act on it:
- How a site is doing, as Home shows it.
- What's in Opportunities, with why, the plan and its estimated gain.
- Your articles, where each one is, and an article's text.
- Your Google numbers, your keywords, and your AI visibility answers.
- What went live and how each change is doing since.
- Your report for any dates, with its share link once you've made one in Reports.
- Your site's feed address, for your own code.
Gains it reports are estimates, as they are in the app.
What it can do for you
If you allowed it to act for you, the app can do what CitedSEO's buttons do, with the same checks:
- Approve, skip or hold a card in Opportunities, or move a spotted one to the front with Do this next.
- Approve, hold or publish an article, now or at a time you pick.
- Ask for a change to an article in your words, or write a new article for a search.
- Undo a change, or everything one shipped change put live.
- Turn Autopilot's switches on or off.
- Research keywords.
Each answer says how to take it back. A skip, Do this next, a new article or a keyword search can't be taken back, so the app is told to ask you first. Changes it made say so in Opportunities › Shipped ("approved via Claude"). See See what went live in Shipped.
It can't delete a site, change billing, your team, connections or any setting but Autopilot, or do anything in bulk.
Disconnect an app
Every app signed in as you is under Connected apps in Settings › MCP, with what it may do and when it was last used. Disconnect takes its sign-in back: it has to ask you again, and it stops working within 15 minutes.
